Responsibilities
- Support business growth and sales through technical support to customers/distributors within the area of responsibility, including enhancement of existing products as well as new product introductions.
- Execute a customer visit plan in agreement with the plan developed.
- Maintain technology leadership position with technical expertise in product application and specific formulation.
- Liaise with Sales and marketing in searching new business and sales opportunities.
- Build up market, customer and competitive intelligence with Marketing and Sales.
- Ensure reporting and communication, initiate discussions on unmet needs, new ideas, projects with Business, sales, marketing and R&D.
- Participate in sales meetings to discuss new business opportunities, sales efforts and share market intelligence.
Skills and Experience
- 5 years or more of technical experience in coating formulation and application required with preferred experience in Additives.
- Experiences of working in laboratory environment for formulation preparation, material characterizations, coating application and comparative benchmarking.
- Knowledgeable about coating industry customer base.
- Good command in English.
- Excellent communication and understanding skills in customer interaction and issues.
- Proficiency in experimental planning, data analysis, record keeping and clear reporting of results.
- Strong team player spirit.
- Ability in working independently with action oriented and "can-do" attitude.
- Effective project management skills with demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-disciplined projects through commercialization.
- Good analytical skills and conceptual thinking to provide quick investigation and root cause development to process & project issues.
- Bachelor's Degree in Scientific field required, knowledge of Polymer Chemistry a plus, or equivalent technical experience accepted.
